Rea Scantlebury is an artist and creative writer of African Caribbean descent and CARICOM national.
Born and bred in New York, she has experienced both culture and the arts firsthand. Her love affair for the arts seemed second nature. Her latest book The Gospel of Rahab And Some Fine Island Tales is her 1st book of folklore.
Rea earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Texas at Arlington, MLA in Art from Dallas Baptist University, and completed the Mount Zion Film Academy. Rea is a wife, mother of three lovely daughters, and caregiver to a pair of very mischievous cats. Her first loves are the Almighty God, herself and family. A few of her favorite things are nature, wellness, culture, philanthropy, and the Arts.
